In the work of this self-taught artist, authenticity becomes a central visual language. Free from formal artistic boundaries, their process relies on an intuitive mix of heavy mediums—such as modeling paste, oil, and acrylic, built upon wooden foundations to achieve a striking 3D presence. The resulting surfaces shift dramatically with changing light, constantly uncovering new visual details.
Rooted in spiritual reflection and deep vulnerability, their practice is as much a personal healing journey as it is a creative one, inviting observers to connect with the raw emotion embedded in every layer.

Nature, the symbiosis between the environment and humanity, and the beauty, power, and sensuality intrinsic to femininity are relationships that I seek in my work.
The necessary reflection on being and/or becoming a woman, emotions, processes of knowledge, self-knowledge, reflection, power, sisterhood, affections, and love have always been present in the construction of my repertoire, which is a bit like a personal diary, a bit like a manifesto for all of us, women and men, as social beings.
I believe in art and culture as means of expression, but also as a form of questioning, liberation, and social construction, especially when it is possible to do them together and in a way that adds collective values.

These early observations fostered both a profound connection to the earth and an urgent desire to protect it.

Kushi Sharma

India

Kushi Sharma

India

She is self-taught, self-amused, and mildly obsessed with places that refuse to leave her head - Kushi is a contemporary artist who paints first and explains later.
There was no art school, no formal training, no carefully plotted five-year plan. Just a childhood habit of doodling in the margins that teachers eventually noticed enough to call "outstanding" - and a stubborn refusal to stop. What started as a school prize has quietly become a practice: canvases built from imagination and from the landscapes that once stopped her mid-step, demanding to be remembered in colour.
Every piece begins somewhere real - a coastline, a street, a light she couldn't stop thinking about - and ends up somewhere entirely invented, because memory is a terrible photographer but a wonderful storyteller.
She began exhibiting almost by accident, the moment she stepped onto Delhi University's campus for her undergraduate degree, and hasn't quite stopped since - showing work alongside independent curators and at group exhibitions across the city.

Leanne Stones

Leanne Stones

Australia

Leanne is an Australian artist who creates expressive contemporary paintings that blend realism, vibrant colour, and imagination, inviting viewers to connect through emotion, beauty, and wonder.
Art is where I explore emotion, memory, and the spaces between reality and dreams. Working across oils, acrylics, pastels, and mixed media, I create pieces that blend realism with ethereal and expressive elements, inviting viewers into a world of beauty, symbolism, and feeling.
My work is inspired by the emotional richness of human experience—love, loss, resilience, nostalgia, longing, and transformation. Whether painting a soulful portrait, a beloved animal, or an abstract dreamscape, I aim to capture not just how something looks, but how it feels.
Influenced by the decorative elegance of Gustav Klimt and the fearless individuality of Frida Kahlo, I often incorporate gold leaf, collage, texture, written words, and layered mixed-media techniques into my work. These elements help build visual narratives that encourage viewers to pause, reflect, and connect with their own memories and emotions.
As both an artist and a nurse, I am deeply aware of the fragility and strength of the human spirit. Creativity has become a way of making sense of life’s challenges while celebrating moments of wonder, healing, and hope

Leig witherell

United States (US)

Leig witherell

United States (US)

Leigh Witherell: Capturing the Unspoken Leigh Witherell is a contemporary figurative impressionist currently based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Raised under the wide skies of Denver City, Texas, her early years in a modest small town instilled a sense of resourcefulness where scarcity often transformed into daily creativity.

Witherell focuses on the raw spectrum of human emotion, eschewing formal portraiture for a style that captures the essence of the soul over mere physical accuracy. Her aesthetic is characterized by a "quiet conversation" through muted blues and greens, reflecting a philosophy that art should be a venue where agony meets tenderness. This approach is deeply influenced by her experience with aphantasia, a neurological divergence that prevents her from visualizing images internally. Consequently, she embraces digital tools and reference images to bridge the gap between her intuition and the canvas.

Her path to the studio was paved by profound personal transition. While she was always drawn to creative expression, it was the devastating loss of her daughter that crystallized art as her truest vocation. In the silence of grief, Witherell found that language was inadequate, leading her to use the brush to carry conversations too difficult for words. This period of "coming of age" as an artist forced a confrontation with the fleeting nature of time, a lesson that remains a pulse at the heart of her practice.

Witherell’s professional credentials include a Bachelor of Arts from Wilmington College and a Master of Arts from Wright State University. Before committing fully to her art, she shared her expertise as a professor at a local college. Her work has since gained significant international recognition, appearing in prestigious venues such as the Orlando Museum of Modern Art and Times Square digital exhibitions. She is a recipient of the NY Resilience Award: Healing Through Art and the Woman Art Award by MUSA. Her insights have been featured across various media, including Artist Talk Magazine, the Art in Orbit podcast, and Contemporary Art Curator Magazine.

Witherell views her work as a silent beckoning for the viewer to enter into a state of understanding and healing. Her deepest desire is for her paintings to live in the quiet, private spaces where people need them most, serving as a mirror for resilience and a catalyst for deeper human connection.

Marie Sisley Chancy

Canada

Marie Sisley Chancy

Canada

Haitian‑Canadian mixed‑media artist based in Montreal, Marie Sisley Chancy carves through memory, resilience, and feminine identities with sharp, layered gestures. Through strata of collage, acrylic, and raw materials, she forges memory‑images where emergence and erasure collide. Her works, rooted in Haitian lineage and the diasporic pulse, are charged with Montreal’s electric energy. Between fragments, light, and tactile ruptures, she creates spaces of healing and metamorphosis—arenas where bodies and histories break open, reconfigure, and rise anew.
I create faces as one opens a sacred circle. Each line is an invocation, each shadow a threshold. The face becomes a living altar where memory, lineage, and unseen forces gather. I call upon earth, breath, inner fire, and healing waters to shape portraits that act as oracle‑masks and guardians. Through layered materials, I carve pathways back to the self, spaces where rebirth becomes possible. My work treats the face as ritual, witness, and offering a place where difference is honored, and the invisible finds form.

Inside My Head

This is pretty much what it looks like inside my head most days. Being eighteen is already weird enough, but navigating the world with a brain that packs autism, PTSD, and a massive dose of anxiety means things get incredibly loud. That bright blue creature bursting out of my skull? That is my mind on a random Tuesday. It is a chaotic, flying entity with way too many eyes, completely overstimulated but also kind of awesome.
Living through all this heavy stuff is exhausting, and the giant tear is a permanent mood. But I am a survivor. Even when the world feels like too much, that bright yellow eye is wide open and soaking in everything. I see everything clearly and I refuse to dim my light.
Despite the daily chaos, I am still handing over a heart that blooms with flowers. It is messy, irreverent, and completely raw. This is my reality.

Through every piece, Sara seeks not only to create beauty, but also to awaken wonder, inspire virtue, foster a spirit of joy, faith, and love, and encourage a deeper love for the saints as examples of lives transformed by God’s grace.

Louisville Kentucky artist and mama of three red heads. Hairstylist in my hometown for over 20 years, and best suited with paint brush in hand. I create vibrant, nature-inspired abstract works that explore color, movement, and emotional resonance. My paintings are rooted in organic forms and layered textures, balancing spontaneity with thoughtful composition. I’m drawn to bold palettes and sun-washed tones that evoke warmth, memory, and a sense of place. Painting abstracts, florals, landscapes or the occasion sketch brings me so much joy.

Zerbabel Caumba

Zerbabel Caumba is a London-based figurative oil painter whose work explores identity, rest, care, and the emotional lives of Black women. Working across portraiture and intimate figurative scenes, she creates paintings that examine resilience, belonging, selfhood, and the quiet ways women navigate grief, endurance, and restoration.
Using light, atmosphere, and colour as storytelling devices, her work invites viewers into moments of reflection, tenderness, and becoming. Whether through a solitary portrait or a domestic interior, her paintings seek to hold the complexity of womanhood beyond narratives of productivity and performance.
Alongside her studio practice, Zerbabel is interested in creating spaces for dialogue around creativity, care, and community. Her work has been exhibited in group exhibitions and showcases across London, and she continues to develop new bodies of work exploring home, memory, identity, and emotional sanctuary.
