About

I am Sitora Brejneva, an artist and researcher from Uzbekistan, working at the intersection of contemporary art, documentary, and visual storytelling. In my practice, I explore the invisible layers of history — especially women’s biographies that influenced the development of society but remained outside official narratives. My works have been exhibited in international galleries in London, Moscow, Tashkent, and Bishkek, and have been selected for participation in prestigious art programs. I constantly develop as an artist, experimenting with different materials and techniques, striving to create works that provoke dialogue, touch emotions, and shift perception.

I am Sitorа Brejneva, an interdisciplinary artist and researcher from Uzbekistan, working at the intersection of contemporary art, cultural research and visual storytelling. I believe that art should be an influence that shifts thinking, which is why I choose to work with themes of freedom and limitations, normalization of crises, fear and isolation. My main media are graphics, painting, installations, and mixed techniques. Since art has the ability to influence perception and thinking, I see it as a space for working with important and sensitive topics. Data art plays a significant role in my art as a tool for understanding reality and social processes. I strive to create projects that raise complex questions, change perspectives, and encourage reflection. I am interested in themes of freedom and limitation, fear and loneliness, inner resilience and personal strength—not as statements, but as points of contact between the viewer and themselves.
